NTI's 2012 conference has an emphasis on the use of automation, decision support, and information technology to drive patient care. Attendees will be academic, medical, government, and industry professionals in the fields of trauma and research, who will:

The National Trauma Institute invites providers, scientists and engineers to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentation at the 2012 Annual Conference. Abstracts submitted in the following categories are especially sought and will be eligible for oral presentation—although abstracts in other categories will also be considered.
- Use of computerized approaches for goal-directed therapies
- Use of information systems in the prehospital or hospital environment
- Computer and decision support systems for automation of critical care protocols
- Automation in the ICU and the OR
- Artificial intelligence systems in the critical care environment
- Fluid delivery, drug titration and hemodynamic control
- Patient dashboard technology for the ICU
- Advanced monitoring and computer-derived vital signs and indices
- Telemedicine technology for the critical care environment
